What’s your sign?

Astrology and zodiac sign knowledge is all the rage right now. I have been seeing Zodiac sign jewelry and paraphernalia all over the web for quite some time now. Some of it pretty, some of it pretty gaudy. I thought I would take a moment to attach some of my favorite, timeless, zodiac themed jewelry for those who are looking for a gift for their ‘spiritual’ friend, or something for themselves! I know I definitely will be getting one of these pieces for myself!

Be comfy!

I am always one for reading Teen Vogue, but to be honest sometimes the advice they give girls seems a little far-fetched for the average teen. I am glad they try to encourage girls to be daring, but let’s be real, no one at my high school (at least) was wearing leopard print sneakers with a white tutu. More power to the ones that do, however!

In any event, I found a Teen Vogue article that I could really relate to and wanted to share. It’s about dressing comfortably—which is what I am all about…basically if it ain’t comfy, I ain’t wearing it. Being comfortable is the key to being confident. The two go hand-in-hand. If you are comfortable in what you are wearing, you feel good!

So, while the article I am attaching is brief in measure (and just talks about being comfy on Mondays basically…why not be comfy everyday, Teen Vogue?!), it inspired me to send you guys an important message: Wear what you want, being comfortable can be just as good, if not better, than dressing in something fashionable but awkward feeling (the old expression ‘beauty is pain’ comes to mind, but I have just never agreed with it anyway).

Really unique pieces that can make your outfit pop!

I am a huge fan of vintage/vintage inspired/bohemian jewelry (particularly necklaces). Recently I found some amazing pendants at a local store in downtown Portsmouth, NH for only 5 bucks a piece, and another vintage inspired necklace for $25! Needless to say I have had a lot of fun working them into my outfits lately. They are great statement necklaces without being so obvious; which is what I really love about them!

So, if you’re like me and you dig some unique vibes when it comes to your wardrobe, you’re in luck!

Since you can’t shop at the lovely boutiques I usually purchase my unique finds (unless you live near me of course), I have just discovered a great Etsy shop (sort of redundant since almost every Etsy shop is pretty great!) for vintage/bohemian inspired jewelry.

Here’s the link! Happy shopping!

My Etsy favorites…

Etsy.com has been an obsession of mine for…well…longer than I care to admit. You can find literally anything on this amazing site made up of a zillion different boutiques and shops. Here is the link to my Etsy favorites, may they inspire you and lead you to explore the Etsy world further!

Top favorite websites for fall fashion

1) For boots: Urbanoutfitters.com   ….forever and always a favorite for all things for all seasons, but their boots are to die for, especially if you are looking for something reasonably priced and of good quality (but really who isn’t!?)

2) For pants: Jcrew.com   ….their matchstick colored corduroys are comfy and soo cute!

3) For sweaters: H&M.com  ….am I the last one to find out about their new US website!? I basically died when I did, and ordered an excess of their extremely reasonably priced chunky knit sweaters.

4) For hats, gloves, and scarves: Etsy.com  …good for any season any time, but it doesn’t get much better than their home-knit-wear for the fall, not to mention you are helping out a small homemade shop, which I think is great!

Happy fall everyone! Start shopping…if you haven’t already!
